rarely can be said to anybody nowadays, you made my day, sir.

this morning, after having to give yet another early morning training session to yet another group of trainees that i do not know, an older gentlemen, a veteran sales person said to me, while i was losing half the group to their daily duties - you're not only beautiful, but intelligent at the same time.

hearing beautiful and intelligent in the same sentence describing me pretty much made my day and fulfilled the confidence that i felt i was lacking at the earlier part of the morning.

i told the elderly gentlemen that he made my day, and he said he was going to have a good day too because he met me first thing of the day.

i could be cynical and think - it came from an older gentlemen, does it mean i only appeal to old folks now that i'm older? but noooo....... cynicism, stand aside today. i'm beautiful and intelligent.
