would we be able to accomplish more in our lives if waiting were not part of the game?
we wait 15 minutes for our turn at the stall to buy our lunch. we wait 10 minutes to get a drink. we wait 20 minutes to be seated at the restaurant, 10 minutes for our order to be taken and 5 minutes for our bill. we wait an hour in the bank for our turn, 45 minutes in line for a taxi, 15 minutes at McDonald's and 45 minutes for an operator on the phone. we wait a day for a reply to our emails and 3 days for an application to be processed. we wait for our bosses to make up their minds, our colleagues to follow up, information to be handed to us, cashiers to enter your purchase.
what portion of our lives are spent waiting?
