Ugly Truth

came across this random blog post couple of days ago:

Found a paper I wrote in 5th grade that I got an 'f' on. My prompt was “Imagine you are sitting on a cloud, what would you do or see”. I wrote,. "I would see the ground as I fell because I would fall through it because in science you told us that clouds were just water mists."

it's pure, plain and simple truth isn't it, even though it's definitely not a pretty thought and the teacher was expecting the painted veil of a beautiful sight. perhaps this is why they call it the ugly truth. 

the words paints clouds exactly as they are in definition but i guess sometimes, perception gets clouded by the subject's appearance.
