growing up in a very perfectly conventional family, it was always the natural path. i had the perfect parents, who spoilt us a little, gave us a comfortable life and well-meaning curfews. when i was a kid, i had fluffy dresses and white mary janes and ribbons in my hair. the family home was a comfortable size with warm beds, a long kitchen and 2 family rooms. it was nice. in school, i always passed my exams, not with extreme flying colors but enough that i could pass and graduate on to a good school and later with recognized papers. i didn't even take up art because my mom thought that science was a better option.
years down the road, i am thinking... have all the choices i made and what i want got to do with this conventional upbringing? if so, why are some roads just so unconventional?
