Taboo

Why is it a taboo to speak about something that's already been laid out so flat on the table like the place mat right in front of you?

I believe communication between individuals is very much made possible through these waves in the air. Sometimes, some people will never get what you are trying to put across because these waves are not on the right frequency and they're tuning into the wrong channel and insist that it is indeed the right channel.
