A pet peeve is a minor annoyance that can instill great frustration in an individual. Pet peeves often involve specific behaviors of someone close and may involve disrespect, manners, personal hygiene, relationships and family issues.
Sure, I've got my pet peeves. I hate expletives because I think it's crude. I think spaghetti should always be eaten with a fork and never with chopsticks and in the same way, chinese vermicelli should be eaten with chopsticks and never with a fork because I think it's only fitting to do so. I think it is a disrespect to slam doors at home and walk like an elephant because it's really annoying. I like leaving the toilet cover down at home and get annoyed when my sisters leave it up. I cannot stand people who prop their foot on the chair while eating because I think it looks like a trishaw rider. I think it's silly wearing a cap after dark, because frankly, what purpose does it serve?
